On July 28, 2011 Comic Book writer Grant Morrison, who will be taking over the writing in Action Comics starting with #1 in September, gave a live television interview with Dylan Ratigan on MSNBC to promote his new book Supergods.Amazon Link, In the Interview Morrison kept citing Superman as an ideal and worthy of emulation and an example we can learn from. "A character like Superman is a character who we created to solve any problem. Superman beats everything, and he does it without killing, he does it by using his mind, he does it by using the correct use of force ... so my suggestion is that maybe if we start thinking a little bit more like these guys ... maybe we can learn something ... about positive values.."

Doomsday Remembered

November 18, 1992. This was the day that Superman fought to a standstill the rampaging monster known as Doomsday, giving up his life in the process. Doomsday (the day, not the monster) is remembered every year on this date. It is a date to remember and pay homage to all heroes that have given their lives in the protection of others.

To give one's life in the protection of others is the most noble sacrifice one can do in any world. Like so many things, Superman leads by example. But how much more heroic is it that a human being, without the powers of Kal-El puts their life on the line for the safety of others? Spend today remembering and honoring those people.

The Calling

Greetings. I am Zen-El. I have a mission that I think is very important for Earth Prime. I am here to lead you to the truth. Superman exists, and by following his example we can make this world a better place.

In the time to come I hope to have many lessons that we can learn from the Man of Tomorrow. I also hope to hear from YOU and your desire to make this world a better place as Superman does.

Superman does not desire worship. We are not here to worship the Man of Steel. Superman does not use his mighty power to rule or lead mankind, instead he leads by example. Superman's most amazing ability is not that he can fly, or bend the course of mighty rivers, nor is the amazing things he can do with his ears and eyes. His amazing ability is something we ALL can do. Do the right thing. Doing the right thing even when it is the most difficult thing to do.

Superman inspires, and it is our mission to create a league of people who hold to the philosophy demonstrated by Kal-El and inspire others in turn. It not about being a great leader, its about leading others to greatness.

Will you join me? Will you dedicate yourself to the values of TRUTH and JUSTICE? Will you strive to be the best individual you can? Someone out there needs a Hero. Maybe even someone you know. BE that Hero for somebody.
